Bath and Body Works Antibacterial Soap - $3

I love, love, love Bath & Body Works' antibacterial collection. I have Dancing Waters soap in my kitchen, Wild Honeysuckle in my guest bathroom and Midnight Pomegranate in my master bathroom. I can't justify paying $4.50 each for full price but I always stock up when they have their 3 for $10 sales. Well now they have an even better deal going - $3 a piece! It's time to stock up!

Cheap, Chic Pieces from Simply Vera at Kohl's

Simply Vera by Vera Wang at Kohl's is one of my favorite cheap, yet chic lines around. Vera doesn't compromise her elegance and class despite the lower price point. Check out these discounted Simply Vera items (that's right, a further discount off of the already low prices) at Kohl's.

s $88)

Red Carpet Look without Red Carpet Price

Did anyone see the Emmy's last week? The red carpet was fabulous as usual! One of my favorites was Mariska Hargitay's yellow one shoulder goddess dress:
Absolutely beautiful! Though her dress was probably thousands of dollars, here's a less expensive alternative. You can find this Sunglow braided one shoulder dress by Laundry by Design at eDressMe. At $275, it's not cheap, but at least you won't have to cash out your 401K to buy it!

Selling Online Now (Finally!): The Limited

It is 2008, yet there are still retailers out there who have not embraced the "interweb." But today, our friends at The Limited launched their new site and now we will all be able to purchase their clothes online (even the overpriced items that I talked about earlier like this). I am happy that they have finally embraced e-commerce, though...and I am looking forward to them starting a sale section!

Now is the Time to Buy: Outdoor Furniture

With summer officially coming to an end (sniffle, sniffle) and the temperatures cooling down, the last thing you are probably thinking about is buying outdoor furniture for your patio. However, as I often advise, the off-season is prime time for discounted prices. That being said, now is the time to stock up on outdoor furniture in preparation for those great cookouts and gatherings next summer!

Here are some items that are on sale now:

West Elm
$69.99 (was $159.99)

Z Gallerie
$499.99 (was $799.99)

Pottery Barn
$49.99

Worth It or Worthless?

I was appalled when I went to the Limited recently to discover a suit blazer for close to $200. Granted, this was their "Travel Suit" that is supposed to be machine washable and wrinkle resistant. However, I have a problem buying anything so expensive from the Limited. Then I realized they're not the only ones who have started charging premium prices.

Tell me what you think: are these worth it or worthless

Dallas Divas: It's FIG Finale Time!

It's that time of year again: the Fashion Industry Gallery's Finale sale that happens twice a year in Dallas! It is taking place Friday, August 22nd (11 AM - 9 PM) and Saturday, August 23rd (11 AM - 5 PM) at the Fashion Industry Gallery located at 1807 Ross Ave. downtown Dallas.

What can you buy there? Check out my posts from August 2007 and February 2008. I am especially excited about this event since last August I made out so much better than in February. Here are the tips:
1) Bring cash. Some places take credit cards, but even those who do sometimes require a minimum purchase. There is an ATM on site in case you run out.
2) If you want more selection, go on the first day. If you want the best prices, go within the last few hours of the second day (it was on the second day last year when I bough 13 items for a total of under $300).
3) Wear clothes that you can easily try things on over. There are very few dressing rooms (and the ones that are there are not really dressing rooms).
4) Be prepared to pay at the door. This is not a free event. It will cost you $12 at the door per person. However, mention DailyCandy at the door and get two for the price of one!
UPDATE: They wouldn't honor the DailyCandy discount when I went (can you believe it???). They tried to say it was only for online tickets (wrong!). Below is what the DailyCandy deal stated. I was a little perturbed:
What: The city’s best boutiques hole up under one roof to offer up to 75 percent off.
Why: Mention DailyCandy Deal when buying your ticket and get one free.
When: Fri., 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sat., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: 1807 Ross Ave. Tickets at 214-748-4344.

I look forward to hearing all of your stories! Happy shopping!

UPDATE #2: My friend reached out to the FIG Finale staff. They're going to refund our $12 and are now honoring the buy one get one offer.
