Say it Ain't So: Z Gallerie is Closing 25 Stores

I am so bummed...One of my favorite home decor retailers, Z Gallerie, recently announced the closing of 25 of their stores, including all Ohio locations. Check out the full story here. Let's hope Z Gallerie's fate is better than these companies.

Thanks, Melissa!

Linens 'n Things: Another One Biting The Dust?

First, Bombay Company. Then, Red Envelope. Now, Linens 'n Things? Say it ain't so! Looks like they are trying hard not to file bankruptcy. Here are the stories the New York Times did last week and this week.

So tell me, if Linens 'n Things folded, would you be upset?

Red Envelope Folding?

I am upset. Many of you loyal readers know that I have featured Red Envelope many times over the years. Which is why I was so disappointed to hear that financial troubles may cause Red Envelope to close any day now. Check out this article about it.

I have bought several gifts from there and have received some from them as well. Their items are unique and the red box they send things in is so classy. The Red Envelope site is still up and running as of now, but word has it that there have been many layoffs and it could be coming down soon. So order your gifts now (that is, if you're willing to take the risk)!

So tell me, how would you feel if Red Envelope tanked?

The Bombay Company's Going out of Business!

Sad for them, sales for us! Unfortunately the Bombay Company recently announced its bankruptcy. As a result, the company has decided to close all U.S. locations (Canadian locations will remain open). The U.S. stores will stay open throughout the holiday season but look for the major sales right around the 1st of the year.

I checked out their site to see if there were any major sales yet, to no avail. Make sure to check out their clearance section often, though, as I am sure they will be liquidating a lot of their items very soon.

For more information about The Bombay Company's store closings, check out this article on DallasNews.com.

Update: www.bombaycompany.com has already shut down! You will have to check out the sales at your local stores.
