Dallas Divas: Dallas Sample Sale This Weekend

What: Dallas Sample Sale. They are supposed to have gifts, apparel, jewelry, handbags, toys, children's, home accessories, furniture and manufacturer samples. I have never been there before, but I plan to check it out!

I went to Banana yesterday. It was about time for a new signature handbag (I've been rocking my LV Damier tote for about 2 1/2 years, so it's about time). Bath and Body Works Antibacterial Soap - $3

I love, love, love Bath & Body Works' antibacterial collection. I have Dancing Waters soap in my kitchen, Wild Honeysuckle in my guest bathroom and Midnight Pomegranate in my master bathroom. I can't justify paying $4.50 each for full price but I always stock up when they have their 3 for $10 sales. Well now they have an even better deal going - $3 a piece! It's time to stock up!

Red Carpet Look without Red Carpet Price

Did anyone see the Emmy's last week? The red carpet was fabulous as usual! One of my favorites was Mariska Hargitay's yellow one shoulder goddess dress:
Absolutely beautiful! Though her dress was probably thousands of dollars, here's a less expensive alternative. You can find this Sunglow braided one shoulder dress by Laundry by Design at eDressMe. At $275, it's not cheap, but at least you won't have to cash out your 401K to buy it!

Selling Online Now (Finally!): The Limited

It is 2008, yet there are still retailers out there who have not embraced the "interweb." But today, our friends at The Limited launched their new site and now we will all be able to purchase their clothes online (even the overpriced items that I talked about earlier like this). I am happy that they have finally embraced e-commerce, though...and I am looking forward to them starting a sale section!

Worth It or Worthless?

I was appalled when I went to the Limited recently to discover a suit blazer for close to $200. Granted, this was their "Travel Suit" that is supposed to be machine washable and wrinkle resistant. However, I have a problem buying anything so expensive from the Limited. Then I realized they're not the only ones who have started charging premium prices.
